Payli a Mondivio product
Payroll software · Caribbean

Payroll the employer runs themselves.

Our own product, sold under its own name at paylipayroll.com. Employers in the Caribbean run their payroll in it, without an accountant in between. Every country has its own tax rules, premiums and year-end returns. We keep those current, so the employer sees the same screens wherever the business is.

What it is

The whole payroll cycle, not just the calculation.

Payli is payroll software for employers who want to run their own payroll. It covers the full cycle: employee records, salary components, leave and sick days, hours and overtime, weekly and monthly runs, corrections against periods that are already closed, payslips, bank payment files, and the year-end returns each tax office expects in its own format.

Employees get their own side of it. In the web portal or the Payli Portal app they open their payslip, request leave, report sick, photograph a receipt for an expense claim, and clock in and out. Managers approve straight from the notification. Nothing about pay or returns lives in the app; that stays with the employer.

Every employer stands on its own, with its own people, its own users and its own figures. The month posts straight into Zoho Books or Odoo, with an export for SAP, so a company keeping its books elsewhere is not entering the same month twice. An assistant answers questions from the employer’s own figures and from our knowledge base of local payroll rules, and a company can connect its own ChatGPT or Claude to the same data.

Payli — payslip, specimen
A payslip in specimen form, calculated on the wage-tax table of the employer’s country, with the month posted straight into the accounts.
The problem

Not hard because the arithmetic is clever. Hard because it has to be exact, and the rules move.

Tables, premium percentages and ceilings are revised most years, each country on its own schedule. An employer who misses one finds out months later through an assessment.

That is the part Payli carries. We keep the rates and rules current for every market we serve. The employer opens the same screens in January as in December and the figures are simply right. Correcting a closed period, a leaver’s final month, a bonus in a different tax band: each is a step in the product, not a call to an accountant.

New rates in January are our job, not the employer’s.

When a tax office publishes new figures, the employer does not have to do anything, install anything or wait for anything. The next run uses them.

What was hard

A mistake is somebody’s rent.

Payroll is unforgiving. A mistake is found by the employee, not by us. So the product goes through rounds of automated testing and, before every release, a reading of the system on the assumption that something in it is wrong. Those are two different exercises, and the second one is where the findings come from.

Traceable

Every figure on a payslip can be traced back to the rule it came from and to the person who approved the period. That turns a question from an employee into a one-minute lookup instead of a reconstruction.

Payroll is one example of a broader category: systems whose core logic is published as regulation and revised on a schedule you do not control. Tariffs, levies, permits, subsidy conditions, compliance returns. If that sounds familiar, we have built it and we run it ourselves.
